Dr. Shailesh Karnik brings over three decades of leadership experience across some of India's most respected institutions, including the Wadia Group and L&T, where he has served in senior roles such as CEO and Chief of Staff. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Aries Agro Limited, and brings deep expertise in finance, strategy, governance, and M&As.

On the sustainability and climate front, he has expertise in carbon footprint measurement, reduction and removal.

Shailesh has completed Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, and MBA in Financial Management from Pune University. He has also completed CFA from ICFAI. He has obtained Doctorate (Ph. D) in Management Studies from NMIMS Deemed University, Mumbai and LL. B. from Mumbai University. He has also secured global credentials in Carbon Accounting, Energy Management, ESG, and BRSR Reporting.

Milind Purandare

Milind Purandare

Milind Purandare is a seasoned business and technology professional with over three decades of cross-industry experience spanning entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and sustainability. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology.

Prior to his work in sustainability, Milind served as Vice President at Accenture, where he owned P&L and led complex, multi-geography project transitions involving extensive client communication, governance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across global delivery centers.

He brings deep, hands-on expertise in sustainable agriculture and carbon markets, developed through his role as Senior Program Manager – Carbon and Scope 3 at Grow Indigo Pvt. Ltd. He has led the end-to-end development and registration of India's first Sustainable Agriculture Carbon Program on the Verra standard, managing the complete lifecycle from program design and listing through to registration and the delivery of India's first agricultural carbon program payments. In parallel, he spearheaded the organisation's Scope 3 emission reduction business, building a dedicated team, implementing data collection and stakeholder engagement processes aligned with GHG Protocol and IPCC guidelines, and establishing first-of-its-kind Scope 3 emission reduction programs with corporate clients across the agricultural value chain.

His work in the field of Carbon and Sustainability places him among a select group of professionals in India with direct, execution-level experience across both voluntary carbon markets and corporate Scope 3 decarbonisation.
